The students of teacher Rita Gravina and Catherine Pfaff delve into the many unsung stories of women who served their country during the First World War by creating video narratives on the war experiences of former Bishop Strachan School students.
Merna Forster led the successful national campaign to have women depicted on Canadian money. Her campaign resulted in a petition of more than 73,000 names and a commitment from the prime minister to feature a woman from Canadian history on bank notes in 2018.
This original project piloted by the Comité Mémoire des femmes has made it possible to transmit new content, foster close cooperation between renowned Quebec researchers, and turn the spotlight on the lives of women too long forgotten.
