From Dairy to Doorstep! The history of the Tobique View Dairy
The history of the Tobique View Dairy.
What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?
The most interesting thing that I learned about my topic was that the Tobique View Dairy was the first in the Maritimes to haul bulk milk. The Tobique View Dairy was a family owned and operated business.
What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?
I learned that dairy farmers are an important part of Canada's history and economy. Without dairy farmers we would not have the milk and dairy products that we have today.
How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?
I would compare my life today to the lives of the people that I did my project on by milk was delivered to the doorsteps and today we purchase milk in a store. When the milk was delivered to the doorstep you knew that the product was from a local dairy, and now when you buy milk in a store you don't know what farm the milk came from.
