Cree Culture

Cree people were First Nations people of Canada. My project describes the interesting things about them and how these people lived before.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

I think the most interesting thing I learned about my topic was that now I know how hard the lives of the Cree people were. They hunted animals to survive. Cree men went to war to protect their families while Cree women took care of their children, built their family's house and gathered plants to eat.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

The important lesson I have learned that I want to share with other Canadians is we have to be thankful for whatever we have in life. Throughout my research, I've seen how hard the lives of the first people a long time ago. I've also learned how to respect the past.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

My life today is much easier compare to the lives of the Cree people. Now, we have nice houses, cars and supermarkets where we can buy our foods and necessities. We also have lots of new technologies like TV, radio, computer, cell phone, and many more.
