Cirque du Soleil

My project is about how Cirque du Soleil has made Canada’s talent known around the world. Cirque du Soleil was created in Quebec and that is where the headquarters is today.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

I really liked finding out about the 21 shows that Cirque du Soleil has. Four of their shows travel throughout Canada but in many different places as well as Canada. The shows seem very interesting and they have a wide varity of topics.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

I learned that most Canadian talents aren't known around the world. Cirque du Soleil was one of the only international companies that really includes Canadian talent. It is important because we do need to make our talents known around the world.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

People who have some involvement in Cirque du Soleil are very busy and athletic. I can relate to that because I am a dancer and a gymnast so my schedule is very busy and active. They also have to take care of their bodies. I have learned that you have to actually pay attention to things that hurt when you are doing sports or else they just get worse.
