Snow is a fact of life in Canada, which is why for as long as there have been people here, there have been ingenious methods of playing and getting around in the white stuff, not to mention clearing it away. 

Avalanches see snow at its scariest, but fortunately we’ve figured out better ways to prevent them and stay safe in slide-prone areas.
