Charlotte Gray — best-selling novelist, well-respected magazine journalist and frequent political commentator — has laboured faithfully and meticulously in Canadian history and biography for years with her impressive literary talents and dedication.

The Canadian Society for Civil Engineering maintains a recognition program for members who contribute to the promotion and preservation of engineering's past, as well as produce print publications, a web site and programs for oral history; and places historical plaques on railway trestles, bridges and canals.

Josette Bouchard–Müller has taught in two educational environments: Toronto French School and the Mistassini Cree Reserve. She rallies francophone and anglophone students and teachers around large — projects on human rights and revolutions to prove that there is passion in Canadian history.

Barbara Brockmann sees Canadian history as a critical cornerstone that helps her inner–city, multicultural grade 8 students find a ‘place’ in their country. She integrates Canadian History with Language Arts and Drama.

Nick Brune has written history textbooks, videos, teaching packages and articles. He has given workshops and presentations throughout Canada. He has been the educational writer for the award–winning CBC–TV News in Review that reaches over two million students across Canada.

John Jamieson connects his students with their Inuit culture through archaeology, elders, art and entrepreneurship. Over 160 Inuit artifacts dating back 3,000 years are duplicated in his school and include fishskin dolls, model kayaks, and hunting tools.

Ken Marland's grade 2 students explore local and national history through drama, models, field trips and website development.

Carol White brings Canadian history to life for her grade 8 students through field trips, simulations, multi–media and community study. She uses history as a vehicle to teach the skills students will need for the future.

Mel Greif’s school is steeped in history. He engages his students in field trips, Confederation debates, simulations, an 1812 picnic and murder-mysteries based on local historic sites.
