Our Heritage: The Battle of Lundy's Lane

The last major invasion of Canada by American forces in the War of 1812 culminated in the Battle of Lundy’s Lane. Resulting in a significant amount of casualties, it was one of the biggest battles ever fought on Canadian soil. The Battle of Lundy's Lane was also one of the deadliest with over 2,000 casualties incurred. This was the last time the Americans invaded Canada with a major Army. If Americans had won the battle, Canada would not be as it is today. The Battle of Lundy's Lane should be remembered in the hearts of all Canadians.
