Imprisonment From Coast To Coast

During WW1, Ukrainian immigrants were held in internment camps across Canada.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

The most interesting thing I learned is that Britain discouraged the internment, but Canada went ahead and did it anyways.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

Canada has not always been completely accepting to immigrants.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

My life is very easy and safe compared to the internees.
