Five generations of the Indian Cowboy, dating back to the 1800's. Combining both Native and Cowboy heritage to a unique and heathy lifestyle. What it means to carry on the the tradition in todays world.

 

 

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

Grandpa Pete winning the Calf Roping event at the Calgary Stampede. Grandpa Pete was the first cowboy in North America to stay aboard the famous bucking horse named Midnight. Im proud to be an Indian Cowboy and continue the tradition.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

Be proud of who you are and where you came from. Always stay healthy and active so you can participate in many activities. Learn about your family and what they did.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

We don't ride horses as much as we too. The language is being lost so we must try to keep it alive. i will always pray to the creator like my ancestors did.
