What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

The most interesting thing I learned about this topic was how the maple syrup is made. I never knew that it would take such a long time to make maple syrup.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

We are very lucky to be the world's largest maple syrup producer. Without the maple syrup businesses, more than 1,000 people will lose their jobs.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

The people who worked in maple syrup businesses long ago had to go collect buckets and go around drilling holes in the maple trees, trudging through the snow. Now, I am thankful of the useful inventions that people invented.
