Yukon Gold Rush

This presentation is about the history of the Yukon/Klondike Gold Rush. The presentation is in a newscast form. Finally my presentation is in present day but is in the scenario that someone has found more gold in the Yukon.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

I learned two things about Canada doing this project. One, that you can find almost anything anywhere in Canada, you just got to dig. Finally, Yukon is very interesting no matter how many people live there. Some might say big things come in small packages

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

I have learned about Canada's history and how quickly a free source of money can impact the world. Finding gold is an amazing discovery but it doesn't matter how they find it, it just matters to people if they get some. I have concluded that Canada has a pretty great history but today people can be very greedy.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

Today I think some of us can get by very easy. However, still many can't - back then it was the same way. When they found gold it was a jack pot. To them and people today it was a glimpse of hope of living a normal life with food on their plate every meal.
