How To Build An Igloo

This video shows you how to make an igloo, it also shows you what Inuit lived in for so many years.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

It's interesting how the men who can build igloos make it look so easy, they don't have any problems but when you build one yourself it's actually really hard. I love how Inuit in the north still want to know how to build igloos. It's such a wonderful skill.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

I've learned a lot just making this video. This video taught me that building an igloo is an important skill to know because it's part of our culture. Inuit lived in these igloos for hundreds of years. And also I've learned how to build one myself so I kind of know how to survive out there when ever I get lost.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

There have been a lot of changes in the north and living would be the biggest change. The Inuit went from living in these igloos to what we are living in now. Today we only live in one place but in the past they went all over the north.
