Canadian Bomber Pilots of WWII

My project focuses on my great-uncle who was a bomber pilot in WWII. I also go in to detail about the Avro Lancaster, one of the planes he flew.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

Reading his personal journal was very interesting. I found out that he did four years of training before he even started to bomb.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

I learned about the hardships and sacrifices that my great-uncle and others like him had to go through.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

My life here in Canada would be a lot different if men like my great-uncle didn't go to war. I am thankful that we don't live in a time of war like he did.
