The Bank of Canada Museum: Financial Literacy Month Classroom Resources
November is Financial Literacy Month (FLM) and the Bank of Canada Museum is ready to help you with hands-on resources for your elementary and secondary classes. Have a look at their FLM webpage and choose from more than a dozen engaging lesson plans and activities.
Younger students will look at the fundamentals: money and currencies, the difference between needs and wants, and the basic mathematics of daily transactions. They can also print their own play money for all sorts of applications.
Secondary students will take a deeper economic dive: discovering their places in the economy, applying economics to dinnertime and gaining an understanding of exchange rates, inflation and today’s financial technologies.
Make every month Financial Literacy Month! Subscribe to the Bank of Canada Museum's newsletter for fresh ideas and announcements of their latest lesson plans and activities.
