Richmond Delta Regional Heritage Fair

The Richmond Delta Regional Heritage Fair is a two-day celebration of Canadian history and heritage through student history projects. Over 100 students present project displays on any aspect of Canada's past, go on exciting field trips to local heritage sites, and take part in a variety of history workshops. The event ends with a Closing Awards Ceremony where outstanding student achievement is recognized with certificates and prizes presented by local dignitaries.
Highlights from 2012:
Excellent student research into iconic Canadian themes, such as the Gold Rush and early explorers, plus a few new ones, like "Canadian Monsters".
Field Trips to National Historic Sites: Britannia Shipyards and Gulf of Georgia Cannery.
Richmond Art Gallery's photography workshop and an Aboriginal workshop on medicine pouches.
