Lake Louise

The view from the Chateau Lake Louise looking out over the lake to the glacier and mountains speaks to the beauty, serenity and strength of Canada.

When I was a young boy we lived in Invermere, British Columbia, which is near the Alberta border. My Dad was the town doctor and we often visited Lake Louise. The view from the Chateau Lake Louise looking out over the lake to the glacier and mountains speaks to the beauty, serenity and strength of Canada. And it speaks to these qualities equally in all four seasons. I fully realized this on the many occasions I returned to Lake Louise years later for the TV coverage of the World Cup Skiing events for both men and women. And, my feelings are echoed by visitors from all over the world.
