Saddle up the history of Western Canada

Calgary hums with the energy that has characterized its entire existence. Its evolution from a First Nations gathering place to a fur trade centre and agricultural hub--which it still is--to a modern business capital can be traced in its streets and historic attractions.

Don't miss the outstanding Glenbow Museum, with its excellent collection of art and historic artifacts. Families will enjoy whiling away a day at the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame and Telus Spark, and anyone interested in history will want to spend time discovering the city's birthplace, Fort Calgary.
