Brock's Walk
Toronto, Burlington, Hamilton, Brantford, Simcoe, Port Dover, ON
Aug 05, 2012 - Aug 12, 2012
Follow Sir Isaac Brock’s own footsteps he had taken 200 years ago over a period of 8 days, beginning on Sunday August 6th at the Toronto Harbour Front and ending on August 12th at the Port Dover Harbour Front.
Shortly after the message reached Sir Isaac Brock (in command of the entire British army in Canada) that an American Army had advanced straight into Canadian territory at Sandwich (Windsor, Ontario), Brock immediately set sail from Fort York towards Burlington Heights and mounted the highly successful invasion and capture of Fort Detroit and Michigan Territory which further delayed the US from any other invasions for almost a year.
